Social Services Transportation Advisory Council Membership Applications

The Tehama County Transit Agency Board (Board) is soliciting applications for five (5) positions on the Tehama County Social Services Advisory Council (Council).  The Council will have advisory responsibilities with recommendations presented to the Board regarding the transit needs of transit dependent and transit disadvantaged persons, including the elderly, handicapped, and persons of limited means.

The members shall be appointed by the Directors of the Tehama County Transit Agency Board, upon recommendation of the majority of the members of the Council.

The Directors shall take into consideration all of the following criteria when recommending and appointing members. These criteria are mandatory and are a requirement of the categories established in Public Utilities Code Section 99238.

Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis until all vacancies are filled.

Social Services Transportation Advisory Council Bylaws

The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) was established under the Transportation Development Act (TDA). The SSTAC serves as an advisory body to the Tehama County Transit Agency Board regarding the transit needs of transit dependent and transit disadvantaged persons, including the elderly, handicapped and persons of limited means.
